Peacemaker or Peacekeeper

There is a difference...

There is peace some where amongst those leaves

That's what our bible study  was about this week and I felt as if it was written for me! Although I'm sure a lot of us are the peace keeper in our families... why does it always seem that it's the middle children that play peace keeper?   

It appears that we put ourselves there because we don't like conflict, in fact we try to avoid conflict at all costs!  Even if it means costing us peace in our own lives because when we play peacekeeper we are not really fixing things.

  Fear and distrust  misery, power, lack of discipline

And so I will begin looking for ways to change from being the peacekeeper to the peacemaker and finding the peace in my own life.

Hebrews 12:11 

¹¹No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
