We spent Father's Day the only way Joel would have it... getting something done.  And since before we left Saturday for the wedding he told me to call and order more mulch... I did just that, ordered another 8 yards.  That makes 14 yards for those keeping track... and were still not done!  Probably another 6-8 will do it... I hope???

Happy Father's Day on this beautiful day!

Here is Joel through the years, always a great example of what a father should be with the kids.

I lost my father in 1998 and Joel lost his father in 1999, so unexpectedly for both of us.  So quickly you life changes and there's nothing you can do about it.
What happened to Tim Russert is similar to the loss of...

I was so saddened to hear about Tim Russert yesterday.  I have always enjoyed him on TV and even read his book "Big Russ and me"   His love of life, family and politics you couldn't help but to be drawn to.  Just a genuine good person... so sad

As for my weekend, not too much planned, except today is the wedding of a friend of mine.  We went to her shower a few weeks back.  I hope this...

Yesterday we started the day early.  Deb and the kids met up with us here and we headed out to the strawberry patch where we picked 7 buckets of strawberries between us all.

Afterwards we headed over to Applebees for lunch and then we all went our separate ways.
After taking Chelsea home, Zach and I headed out for his dentist appointment.  After his cleaning of which everything...

Is the book I am currently reading, and almost finished with and there are a lot of interesting facts to be learned about our presidents.  I heard that the secret lives of the presidents wives is also a good read.
Some of the things I've read...
Our first president George Washington who spent the vast majority of his life outdoors, who reveled in horse riding and swordsmanship who had a physique...

Today I had 3 boys hanging out here for the first half of the day.
They arrived Tuesday evening and even though the water wasn't so warm they all decided to go swimming.
It was actually quite comical as I listened to them screaming about how cold the water was and yet they swam for at least an hour after that.
I had to work today especially since yesterday I spent the day at Kent and...

started at 5:30 am as I Joel woke me to get ready to leave.  Chelsea and I were on the road by 6:30 to get ourselves to Kent State for the PASS day. (Placement, Advising, and Scheduling system).
I thought it would be an easy day for me and a busy day for Chelsea taking tests and picking her course schedule.  Well I was wrong... it was a busy day for both of us.  There were presentations on...
