I have always been fascinated with dates and numbers.  I love the fact that Chel was born 3-6-90 and it was all natural, nothing planned there, even Ryan was 12-7-87.  I just  love how the numbers flow.  In fact on those days of the year I almost always write the year because once I start writing that date it just seems natural to continue on with the year.

It had threatened to rain most of the day and in fact did rain a good portion of the morning, and while we desperately do need the rain, I didn't want our 4th to be rained out.  There's too many outdoor activities for the kids to do.  Like swimming in the pool, eating ice cream, cooking out, fishing and going to the parade. 
Luckily the rain did hold out and we had a nice day filled with lots...

while I'm not one of those who hides out and doesn't want to admit my age, forty three holds a little different meaning to me. 
Since my father died when he was only 53 I have analyzed a lot of his life. Of how he seemed to accomplish so much in his short life span,(though we all wanted more) and how much knowledge he possessed while going through so many trials in life, again being so young....

On Sunday we heading out on our big adventure... to meet the author of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.  The ride out was flawless with Mimi's new car having a GPS system we wouldn't get lost.  However, we had to make a pit stop at Renee's, and  to Target to purchase the audio of Lean Mean thirteen before heading out on the turnpike. The audio turned out to be disastrous, we couldn't...

I love the picture I got of this barn.  It would catch my eye everytime we drove by it on Marks Road when I was on my way to my brother's.  One day I made sure to bring my camera with me and I snapped this shot.

This picture was taken in April, when only the slightest signs of spring were showing.  We drove by the barn this week and found it covered in green.  I wonder if this will...

Why is it while there are so many choices out there, I always fall back to the one I began with.  The Creative Memories tape runner.  Now granted I began scrapbooking using all their products and over the years have learned that there are more awesome products out there than I know what to do with.  But yet even with glowing recommendations of other products I still seem to fall back to my trusty...

We packed a lot into this weekend, celebrating Alexa's birthday on Friday night with Elvis, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and more at her "Walk the red carpet" birthday party.  Singing karaoke off tune to Amish Paradise and Friends in low places, and lots of laughs sure made the evening go by quickly. 

 
Saturday I awoke with nothing that HAD to be done, but that just means you better...

Well it's not an official school science project, but none the less at has become a project for our entire family to watch and I have to say somewhat enjoy.
Do you remember finding tadpoles as a kid.  I remember when my parents were still in the process of bulidng our house in North Royalton and my brother Joe and I collecting baby frogs and finding tadpoles everywhere!  It was fun to see them...

Just clowning around tonight with the family.  I just got the new patio stones so we could put the fire pit on the deck.  Of course I had to light a fire right away!

Well the opening of the pool is a definite sign of summer and although this year it didn't happen for us on Memorial Weekend, we got right to it afterwards. 
What a great weekend it was.  With Friday night my class with Trish from Work in Progress which ended up lasting till 2:30am for some of us!  We did a book of favorites which I got to finish up on Saturday.  Now I just need to collect my...
