Oh my we have been buried in the snow here!  Last night Joel made a path for the dog to get on and off the deck and a spot for him to go in the yard.
  
 Luckily the snow slowed enough yesterday for the roads to clear up and the girlfriend Valentine party to still be on.  I will be back later with pictures from our fun night!

Every year my girlfriend has us over for a Valentine party!  It's a fun night where we each bring a dish for dinner, play a few games and share Valentine treats with one another. Here's last year's party treats.

Well not that he asks for anything.  In fact he is one of the hardest people to buy anything for, because he NEVER wants anything.
But when he's not happy with something and lets you know about it, you are sure to take note.
Like the television and all the remotes!  It drove him crazy when the kids would watch a movie on the playstation the night before and the next day he couldn't get the tv working...

What a great day Sunday was.... for starters I ran my first 5K which both Chelsea and my brother in law Gordon also ran.
Chelsea and I got up early and headed to Milts to get a little cardio stretch in before the race.  Then it was over to the rec center to meet up with Deb and Gordon and get ready for the race.  It was 17 degrees when I got out of my car!

 We've had our share of heart ache and somehow made it through?  Each birthday is special and important to us. 
Celebrating his birthday, the day after my sisters has always been fun!  I would plan surprise parties right under his nose and just say everything was for my sister.  And it was just as fun as he complained and wondered why it was for her and we...

It's hard to believe its been 12 years since I lost my father.  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't wish I had him here to share my life with, see his grandkids and share in his knowledge when I'm unsure of things.
 
 I lost him on the same day as my husbands birthday.  It is also his brothers birthday.

We were 20 years apart, he was only 40 here

He was a great father and husband
