Here is a recap of my half marathon weekend...
On Friday morning I thought I'd call the 2 local hotels one more time to see if we could get in closer to the marathon instead of having to drive in or take shuttle in the morning.  Luckily there was just a cancellation and we were in!  I was so excited on how much easier this was going to make our morning!
Friday evening we arrived in Akron and got...

We are one day from the half marathon and I'm both excited and nervous.  Mostly my nerves are about getting to the start line in time and good weather and of course a good run!  I want to take note of how I feel at that turn off, where the half marathon turns and the full marathon keeps going.  Will I be thankful that I'm making the turn, or will I be feeling good and wishing I was going further....

Once a week my mom, sister and I have been getting together to have a craft day.  A day where we pick some type of scrapbooking project to build or work on together.
Our first week we made this album.  We got together not knowing what we were going to do and began going around my basement picking up pieces or cutting out pieces that we thought we go good in the album.

I did it, I finally purchased my E-reader and decided on the Kindle.  I considered my options for months, actually years.  I wanted a kindle when they first came out, and then over time so many other options were coming up that I decided to wait it out.

Today is the anniversary of my brother Joe's death.  He went into the hospital on August 23rd and battled his way through all the complications from the aneurysm but then lost his life in surgery on September 17th.

I think about him constantly and a lot of times that thought takes me back to our childhood.  He and I both being middle children had an unspoken connection.  We played together as...

This week the theme for Team up Thursday is small...
When thinking of this weeks theme I was wanted to do something of a comparison and then I remembered the bracelet I just got from Etsy that has all my favorite books of 2010 attached to it and thought it would be a great way to emphasize the theme of small next to the actual books they represent.  Jill chose to represent small in a different way......

So my sister mom and I got together last week and wanted to do something scrappy.  We decided to make a mini out of a little bit of everything that I had in my basement!
Then we embellished our creations...

This week we got a surprise as my brother in law came in town from Florida.  We decided to get the family together and do dinner on friday.  We had a great time and lots of laughs!
Tonight he got back on a plane and headed back to florida :(
 


  
 
Otherwise it was a weekend of little scrapping and I hope to change that this week!   
 

Labor Day weekend we went away for a couple of days and every time we do that it is the perfect time to have my brother in law come over and do a project on the house.  Plus its an awesome surprise to come home to something new.This project was scheduled for when we went to Disney, but the lights didn't arrive in time so we had to put it off until now.
