For this I am grateful...
How do you explain the importance of a weekend away?  My husband just gets it... he knows I look forward to this weekend every year, counting down as it approaches.  And it never fails to leave me renewed, inspired and oh so lucky to share it with a bunch of great women! Three days of laughter, stories and inspiration while I create what ever my heart desires!
This year...

A weekend away with girlfriends being creative!  What could be more fulfilling!  And it just gets better ever time!  Between the laughter shared, the creative ideas and just being yourself among a group of ladies who totally get you!
So much more to share on this weekend, from the time away to the family back home!

Ahhh today I am off with friends scrapping for the day, for the weekend.  I started getting ready for this weekend months ago and of course counting down to it weeks ago.
I wanted to bring something to share with the group, so Deb and I made these muffins and packaged them to hand out Friday night or Saturday morning.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my weekend with this group!

Every birthday is a celebration, and celebrating with friends and family is something I am very grateful to get to do!

Last night we celebrated Gordon's birthday with family and friends at Sully's in Medina.

we had a good time and of course lots of laughs


 and to make things even better, there were cupcakes!

So last weekend I ran another 5K with Chelsea.  It was a little bit colder than we've raced in a while, although our first race, the frosty 5k was the coldest, but for some reason the cold on Sunday bothered my throat?  I slowed down at the only water stop and wonder if it helped or hurt my time? Would I have been slower not having the water?

Ah yes, finding things to be grateful for, I'm going to like this!
today I was grateful to be able to meet my daughter for lunch, vote,  pick my son up from school and get ready for the Bertram Weekend.  
 

I've seen this on several people's blogs and did a search for it myself.  There is a facebook page here and a blog here and I have so much to be grateful for.
So while I'm starting a few days late, one thing that is weighing heavily in the gratitude list is how grateful I am that Chelsea was okay from her accident.  I feel like so many times things have not had a good turn out for me, and this...

H is for Halloween and I can't believe its already here!  Next thing you know it will be Thanksgiving, then Christmas!

Here I go again with the mini books.  I've had this one for quite a while, got it when we were on our trip to the NOVI convention and was inspired by the stickers in the Work in Progress kit


I started it before Chelsea had gotten in the accident on a melancholy day thinking about Ryan, life, etc...

thinking about my dad and how he always told us "life's not fair"

Who says its too early to start crafting for Christmas?  Certainly not me, especially when today I got inspired and had some time to play and made a couple of these mini's in no time!

I saw this post over at one of my favorite creative blogs Poppie paperie and decided to give them a try.  Her directions are awesome and they went together quickly!
